Welcome to the Kunin-Lunenfeld Applied Research Unit website. Our mission is to foster clinically related research at Baycrest. KLARU's recruitment of scientists dedicated to applied research helps to establish a world leadership group dedicated to developing understanding and strategies for the prevention, attenuation, treatment and management of neurocognitive, neurobehavioural, mental disorders of aging, dementia, stroke and other related diseases. The role of KLARU has been to provide the applied arm to Baycrest research, that is, to attempt to catalyze delivery of new findings at the fundamental level at the Rotman and elsewhere to the clinic as effectively as possible.
